A Fairy T-shirts Cyber Tale

Ah, it’s Fairy T-shirt time, and you’re thinking of wearing a fairy picture t-shirt.  Is there such a thing…?  A fairy T-shirt is exactly what it sounds like, a t-shirt with images of winged princesses who loves to sing and dance; tease and tempt, and do naughty things. 

Remember, the fairy tales that mama or papa read to you each night.  While most of them had good moral lessons to teach, they were still fairy tales.  The Tooth Fairy operated under the cloak of darkness, visiting a child after losing its baby teeth. But alas, a T-shirt Fairy once operated in cyber space.

That’s right, the internet.

In the early days of the internet, Clara, a wanna-be-naughty fairy saw that the popularity of fairy t-shirts were about to explode in cyber world.

The bad minded fairy spun an evil spell, stopping the sales of fairy t-shirt on the net; and halting the manufacturing of fairy stuffs worldwide.

Folks visiting fairy t-shirt web pages and other fairy shops began to frown and suck their teeth. After days of not being able to find anything to do with fairies on the net or in a store for that matter, fairy lover started a piece of hollering. They could be heard all the way to Pluto, the last planet in outer space.

The shoppers cry deafened the earth. Everything came to a stop. The globe stopped spinning on its axis. The folks stuck with the sun were hot and miserable, and the folks stuck with the dark dank nights were chilled to the spine.

All other fairies tried to break the spell and failed. Even the naughtiness fairy, an obnoxious dragon, and a Tasmanian devil tried and failed. The fairies, the dragon, and the Tasmanian devil chased Clara.  They chased her away from mother earth, all the way to Pluto.

But, things got worse.

Terrible draughts engulf the earth. The manufacture’s t-shirts and clothing rot on the selves. The people, the animals, the plants and everything facing the sun began to whiter and die. On the dark side of mother earth, a severe cold froze everything from the North Pole to the South Pole.

The wanna-be-naughty Clara was cold and lonely. She longed for her friends and the four seasons of mother earth. She grew weaker by the day. And she too, will die.

Wanda, the world littlest princess, decides to give a gift of forgiveness to the bad fairy. But what could she give? A Fairy T-shirt, of cause! She searched far and wide without success. Then she bumped into the Tasmanian devil.  He wasn’t so devilish after all. The devil knew just the right place to find the last preserved Fairy T-shirt in the world.

Armed with a blue hand-dyed fairy t-shirt fluttering behind her, Wanda struggled to reach Pluto. She fought the galaxy winds, dodged whirling space rocks and shooting stars. After many hours she found the weak fairy lying on her back. Oh dear, she thought, I must hurry. With care, Wanda spread the fairy t-shirt on Clara’s chest and whispered words of magic.

The t-shirt image showed: a fairy princess sitting crossed legs on a floating bubble. And a rainbow of colorful butterflies surrounded the fairy princess.  Printed in elegant letters below the bubble were these words: How Sweet is The Day, Touch by Love. And in smaller print: To Clara, From Wanda.

Instantly, Clara sat up.

A bright hallo engulfs the far-off earth. Distant lighting flashed. Wanda knew at once, all was back to normal. And indeed it was. “Wait a minute,” cried Clara. She hugged Wanda. A fairy in a fairy t-shirt… What a sight?

It was not long before the work of fairy artisan exploded on internet, appearing on fashion printed t-shirts, greeting cards, fairy figurines, key chains, custom tiles, scented candles, clothing and the like. And to this day, Fairy T-shirts lead the way. ■
